Scumbags trying to get you to say "yes" so they can use it for fraudulent activity, usually corresponding to details they already have about you from other stolen info. You can instantly tell from the high quality of the connection as they want to get a good quality recording of you saying "yes".

When answering phone - silence, and then hang up from callers end. This number has called several times and always the same silence and hang up. Is it worth being registered with TPS as these nuisance calls still get through!

This number called my landline a few minutes ago. Not a number I know and I'm on TPS, for what good that is. For a change, I answered, but there was no one on the other end and the line went dead after a few seconds. Obvioulsy yet another annoying scam, so now blocked.
