I received a call from this number around 23:32 pm on 10th. May. The caller said something like a call from a group that I know. I asked why was he calling at that time, he replied that he had just returned from work. I asked why he was calling me from the US he replied that he was in US. Later I found out that the number was from Canada. I am worried that while I was talking to the guy they accessed my bank details. I suspected the caller and the number were scammers. I need help.

Received a few calls from this number with the name Bogdan Fedyorvich. The second time, the person said something like “Matteo I thought this person was smart but he is a *****”. So now I am not sure if it is AI.

This is one of the many legit phone numbers used by the NatWest group of banks. BUT: Be aware that scammers will spoof legit bank numbers to rob their customers. If you get ANY unexpected contact from your bank NEVER trust but NEVER ignore. This applies even if you you have the number on your trusted contacts list. ALWAYS terminate the contact, check to ensure your phone connection has cleared, call your bank to check using the number on your bank card. ALWAYS!!! This advice can save you all.kinds of problems. But be aware also that scammers are known to post fake safe reports about scam numbers on these phone number checking sites and sometimes fake scam reports about legit numbers so ALWAYS use common sense when checking phone numbers and read ALL the posts.

I’ve had the same person call a number of times, when I tell them I don’t believe they are who they say they are, they explain they have sent me a text, too the same number. When I challenged them, they put the phone down. Just check your banking app, you will be notified if the bank wishes to contact you. By the way it does sound very convincing however, remember the bank will never contact you, via text or telephone. Just scammers collecting your personal details. Note, they have your phone number and name, they will ask security questions, I.e your date of birth, your post code, house number, then your securing word, PIN number etc. just building up information on you, so they can use it at a later point to pretend to be you. Don’t give them anything, just block the number!
