How Digital Voice Works

#1 Signing up - the number choice

Signing up with Phonely is designed to be straightforward. During the process, you will be asked if you would like a new phone number or if you would like to bring your existing number with you. You can have a new number for free, or we can "port" your current phone number to Phonely for you, and again, this is free.

#2 Signing up – the handset choice

During your sign-up process, you will be asked to consider whether you would like to keep your existing handset or if you would like a new Phonely digital voice handset.

• If you have an analogue phone that you'd prefer to keep using, you can purchase a digital voice adapter.
• If you already have a phone that's digital voice compatible, then you can adjust it to work with Phonely's system if you feel confident to do so.
• If you would like a new digital voice phone that you can just plug in and use with your Phonely account, then you will be able to buy one that suits your needs.

#3 Setting up your adapter or handset(s)

If you have brought a Phonely adapter or handset then you will receive full instructions and support on setting up your phone. We have downloads, videos and a UK-based team that can assist you. This will basically involve connecting your phone to your broadband router instead of your BT Openreach wall phone socket.

#4 Your account

You can access your account online via a laptop, computer or mobile device. Here you can view your bills, add your contacts and make any changes offered within your call package.

#5 Added security
