Rare, but this is legit HMRC call.

They called and wanted me to tell my ni or UTR number to verify but I shouldn't be carrying these numbers on me. They called a number that I have but not on their system next day after I called collectors. I think collectors have leaked my spare number to these people whoever they are. No scruples in business these days.

i just received a call from the sam number 03002003884 and was wondering what was happening,All my tax payments are verifiable via Tax Calculator I didn't understand why she was telephoning me. I declined to disclose any information, then she said she was going to post a letter,but why call whey you are posting one

I have received two calls from this number purporting to be from HMRC but when checking my account on the website there is nothing, no messages etc. Be aware.

Unsure. Not taking a chance to call the number. I also received an emailng with an invoice for over £500 claiming to be from Adobe and Microsoft, for a 1 year membersip that will auto renew. I have no such thing set up. So not trusting it.

Received an email claiming to be from Adobe and Microsoft, claiming to have an attached invoice for "Your Copy (Cc) of Agreement [Rolling Monthly Auto-Debit]". The product they claim to be invoicing me for, I don't have and have no direct debit in place. The telephone number for queries on the scam email was +44 (33) 3050-0884. Note *, The correct number for The Microsoft Corporation at the address given on the email, as 2 Kingdom, Street, London W2 6BD is listed on their website as 0344 800 2400.

Just got a call claiming it was Hmrc and they waned to talk to me about corperation tax . A guy claiming to be Tom Adams and when I asked him if I will call him back he said yes but you won't be able to reach me but you will be able to talk to someone else .

The caller claimed to be from HMRC and left a voicemail asking me to return a call to a different number with a time limit of one day. Time pressure is a classic scammer trick so I'll wait for a letter from HMRC if it's genuine.

The person said they were from HMRC.Called me by my first name which made me suspicious so I put the phone down I'm sure they will write to me if it's anything important

Feeling it was a scam as they tried to ask for heaps of information to verify my identity- something just felt off - said for me to phone hmrc directly as the number is on their website but I don't see it on the .gov website Could be legitimate but it didn't feel right to me

A female voice left a voicemail message stating that she is from HMRC Corporation Tax and asking the director to call back at 0300 200 3840 during working hours with the utr number for corporation tax, which I do not have because I do not have a corporation tax account. While they use HMRC numbers, I do not believe the caller has nothing to do with the HMRC.

Was called by this number. Knew a great deal about my working tax credit migration to UC. Asked me if a number they quoted was correct, I said yes. Asked why the all - I've done everything online. Said they were verifying and I will get a letter. I'm now a bit suspicious or wasn't genuine - but I didn't give any personal info except postcode. Not sure what I can do now except block.

Was contacted by Jamie who left a voicemail asking for me to call back within 24 hours with my NI number. Not calling back.

I received a call from 0300 200 3884 a couple of days ago, and they left a voicemail, saying from HMRC. I rang back and received a answerphone message saying ‘you’ve been called by HMRC, but don’t worry, we’ll call another time’. Having read that the number doesn’t allow outbound calls, I’m concerned it may be a scammer. I’m blocking the number, just in case.

I have received some of these calls but will not answer if they require anything. I'm sure they'll send it in writing as they never missed a chance for a payment. They never missed a chance for a fee.

I just received a call from this number 08:57am 26/11/2024 03002003884 they said this is HMRC they told me that From PIY CIS, I HAVE BEEN SUBMITTING TAX REFUND FROM THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IN THE LAST 2 YEARS AND I HAVE NOT PAID HMRC, THEN THEY TOLD ME I HAVE PENALTY FOR NOT FILLING 24/25 YEAR AND I HAVE PENALTY OF £100 FOR EVERY MONTH AND I HAVE TO MAKE A LARGE SUM OF PAYMENT OF £216K

Although it looks like legit HMRC number, as many of them start with 0300 200 3XXX, the number 0300 200 3887 is not listed anywhere on the gov.uk website.
