Claims to be from British Gas asking about sending an engineer to check meter. Asks for mobile phone to send WhatsApp message requesting a photo of the meter. I allowed them to book an appointment to inspect/change the meter and in multiple calls I received promises of lower prices due to a reclassification of my business as a micro business. Eventually received a contract from MGK consultants for a new deal with British Gas and a three year brokerage contract with broker fees of close to £2,000. And simultaneously a phonecall urging me to sign the contract while on the phone. Sigh.

Pretended to be from Smartest Energy and scheduled an engineer to visit the location in order to adjust the metre reading because an error message had appeared! I called Smartest Energy, and there was no error message. They are frauds.

Claims to be from British Gas asking about sending an engineer to check meter. Asks for mobile phone to send WhatsApp message requesting a photo of the meter. I have confirmed with British Gas and they will never WhatsApp customers, they only communicate over the phone. Block this number and don't give out personal phone number. They have called our business over the period of many months, very persistent.

Continue to call from the mumbet stated above, sometimes when they get no for an answer you get another call from a different number. Always asian accent saying they are from British gas! I always tell them we are not with BG but they persist. When I don't play the game they say they will email (which they get from the Internet for our Building). I say yeh, email what you want and bid them gooday.

scam told them to send me my new quote for my new plan that they claim will give me new cheaper prices. told him i dont deal with anyone over the phone and to just to send me an email and that they have my email and i hung up.

Claims to be my account manager on British Gas [I have a different supplier] and gives me my postal code [but I'd incorrect], and then doesn't give up when these errors are pointed out. His poor English is a disadvantage for a scammer....
