Switched broadband provider from BT. I was immediately called by this number by somebody from BT claiming to offer a better deal and telling me to cancel the contract with the new supplier. BT had already told me they couldn't match the deal.

BT trying to persuade you to stay with them..... well too late. This is what you get when you don't care about your existing users. I'm voting this call as Neutral as this is not a scam, although it's annoying.

I Have just Left BT after 10 years - They Could not match Skys Online Deal - Had several calls - as soon as we say im ok / say hello etc - They Hang Up !! Pointless phoning i you keep hanging up - Why not say what you want ??

I'm leaving BT, got a call from this number offering me a better deal. Then asked me for the 4 digit code that had been sent to my mobile. At this point I ended the call, and didn't give them the code. I think it's a scam.

Persisting harassment from BT since March when I cancelled TV package , still charged me every month since , had issues continually with them updating to full fibre broadband , I've since cancelled it after dreadful customer service and as I've signed up for alternative broadband they have called me today on this number , didn't answer and will be blocking them again 😑

BT retentions, they have been charging me almost £60pcm for 150mbs & phone. Moving to Toob for a speed of 900mbs for £25pcm No Brainer, bye bye BT 👋

It was from BT Retention team trying to persuade me not to switch to another broadband provider. They made a competitive offer and I decided to stay. It was a close call but in the end they came close and saved me the hassle

Received another call today, probably 5 in 5 days, may be genuine as i am changing my broadband from BT but my phone shows the calls as potential scam so never answer

Was phoned from this number but when I answered they immediately rang off. What was the point of this? I have found out this number is BT retentions. BT retentions must have been alerted by a scheduled porting of landline number to a voip phone provider I have moved to. I am also using now a fibre broadband FTTP company. My BT monthly bill (phone and FTTC broadband) virtually doubled over two years, with the mid-contract price jumping 15%. Enough is enough.

Had a particular rude and abusive call from BT obviously because I was leaving to go to another provider.. was spoken to with such rude attitude when I said I wasn't going back... RUDE and thank god im leaving them..

Cancelled my BT broadband yesterday because of appalling customer service. This number today called my mobile. BT please note - calls to my mobile go direct to voicemail unless I know the caller.

The call comes from someone called Jamal, who immediately hangs up. If you call back you are paying between 16p and 25p per minute to speak to him and he’s either nothing to do with by and just been given your number by BT or is making money by you returning his call and him making up to £15/hour from you. The call may actually be a recording as it’s quick and there is no time for a response, before the phone is cut off. All very unprofessional or a scam. Hard to tell which but I’m not paying for BT to offer me a deal they could have offered before I switched provider

He said, "Hello, I'm Jamal calling from BT" and then he immediately hung up before I got the chance to. I have recently applied to change my broadband and landline provider from BT becuase they were charging me £51 p.m. even though they told me it would be £28 p.m. 2 years ago when I signed up. They've increased their prices about 6 times in the past 2 years with no change in my service or package. I've gone to Sky now for the same package deal for £25 p.m.
