Claimed they were calling about a new government charge on energy costs for standing charges. Very pushy and direct on the phone, when challenged gave a vague company name and kept demanding to speak to the director.

i received an email stating £465 had been taken from my Paypal account (which I don't use) and there was this number offering customer service support. I check with Paypal who stated it was a scam and no funding had been taken. I did not call the number after this information.
