Had phone call from this number and it came up as virgin media on my phone screen. I was at work but answered it. It was an Asian woman and the background was very noisy. She said I had been a customer a long time and wanted to give me a better package. I told her that companies don't look after existing customers, just new ones so they would NEVER phone offering me cheaper. She hung up

If this is Virgin Media, they are hilariously incompetent. If it's a scammer, which it might be, there are definitely dangerous. Asked me to confirm my address for security, but had no way of confirming they were virgin. I then contacted Virgin Media online to confirm if they were trying to get hold of me, and was told not to answer any further calls asking for information from this number.

Those individuals keep on telephoning me on my mobile phone. And although I have a mobile, I also have a disability, so when I requested that they telephone me when the support worker is in my house they are refusing to do so.

Didn’t request the call. I said that I was working but the caller still persisted in trying to sell me an upgrade with a small increase in the cost of my package for 18 months. When I asked what it would cost after that time she was very reluctant to say until I insisted. It was considerably more so I refused to discuss any longer.

received a call from '0800 052 7551' on my phone at half 5 in the evening, it appeared with a red warning message saying it's linked to a spam call / scam call. I'm currently using a honour phone 200 smart which has the option to warn you if its a safe call or not.

Said they were virgin media and were upgrading my package etc for a new price. Knew my details etc did ask me to confirm 1st 4 digits of bank to add sims cards to package, I lied and said I’d lost bank card and was waiting on replacement . So they said unable to send sims. But would still upgrade internet send new equipment as old router wasn’t able to take new speed. . They sent contract to email and as text. Which I DIDNT open even though it came from virgin text number which they’ve text on before when I’ve called. When call finished I called virgin customer services(saved number I got off website) and they confirmed the upgrade was showing on account. And it was legit. I think it’s just their sales team trying really hard to up sell products. In my case it was a good deal. Only gutted I’ve missed out on sims but better to be safe that sorry. Hope this helps.

I had an official problem that was dealt with on virgins WhatsApp service. However since then I have mysteriously received about 5 calls a day from this 08000527551 number claiming to be Virgin media. However it seems it may be a spoofed number from scammers . The fact that this harassment began after my WhatsApp was given to an actual Virgin call centre CS previously is worth investigating further.

Received a call from this number on 16 October . Couldn't understand very much what she said but did pick up Virgin Media. Said to her "you are a scammer. Not interested" and hung up.

I do not answer this call ,l did answer once and the woman with a foreign accent was talking for a long time about my Virgin media package . Afterwards l was concerned that she had kept me on my phone for a long time discussing quite technical things about the package which was not necessary . I never answer now !

They claim to be from Virgin. They know my name and how long i am with Virgin, asked to confirm my house number. Asked them to send whatever offers they have to send in my email but they said they can not send anything in email. Dodgy, better to ignore the call and block.
