First phoned me in September twice exactly as all others above. He may have found my business on Etsy or my business Facebook page. I blocked him but here is the scary part he just phoned me again February and said because I blocked his number he had to change his number . Tonight he phoned from private number so can't block. Do feel better knowing it's not just me though

Kai is 19 and from Glasgow. called from this number with the premise of funding the arts. It was all lies, he just wanted to feel special and fulfilled. He wanted his ego stroked and wont give any money to anyone. He said he has been doing this for 4 months and hasnt given anyone anything, but lead me into thinking he was about to give me 6k. All rubbish, all lies. Not sure if he has mental health problems or is vulnerable

Just had a call from this number, 4.10pm 17/09/25 and he called himself John.. told him to donate to Gaza families and / or environmental charity and told him this obviously sounded like a scam .. will check my phone bill to see if somehow I’ e been charged, as some people above mentioned that had happened to them..

I have just received a call from Glaswegian Kai. He offered to make a donation so I directed him to my GoFundMe page.

This number somehow put a small charge on my phone bill. You can sort it with your provider but it’s sneaky and wrong.

I have also received a phone call asking me if i would like a donation to my business. I asked him why and he said that he liked giving money away. I asked him where he got the money from and he said his summer job. He sounded young and vulnerable tbh! I said for him to keep his money for a rainy day and if not give it to charity. He wasnt persuasive and he said everybody else that he had contacted had said the same - to give it to charity.

He is very persistent and kept on ringing, he had a Scottish accent, I have blocked the caller, I do not like calls like that.

It's a young lad it was looking for donate money. Really strange. I think he is looking for someone naive. Who would believe him and give him bank account details. It's to good to be true. It's very scary he is practicing in to scam someone. Just be aware.

Had the same experience- called said his name was Kai and was donating from Glasgow. Couldn't understand why - said he would travel to my location and give me cash that it wasn't a scam. Asked him to donate to children's charity and hung up. Knew ally details though. Scary

I run a face painting business. Guy had a Glasgow accent. He asked for me by name and knew what my business was. Said he wanted to come and help me out by coming to an event or by making a donation. I asked his name and he said "Kai", which was coincidentally the abbreviation of the team Kairat who are playing Celtic tonight and was on TV at the time, so obviously the first lie he could think of. Very persistent. I said I didn't understand his motivation and told him I would prefer he donated to a charity. He hung up at that point but phoned straight back. I didn't pick up.

Caller asked to speak to the manager and offered to make a donation. Would not explain futher and hung up when I invited him to come and meet us.
