Same as above, messaged me saying his wife seen my car for sale, asking alot of questions and then asking would i accept bank transfer. wanted me to do i car check. Number blocked, sounds dodgy, Avoid!!

Trying to get me to purchase a check for my bike that I was selling. All sounded very dodgy.

Called regarding a motorcycle his wife seen for sale on Gumtree, first he asked did it need any repairs, then asked me to do a vehicle check report on it before he came to visit. Done a number check, he has been trying the same move with loads of people. Scam avoid.

Rang about an old and very cheap car that I was selling and was pushing for me to buy and provide a car history report. Said that he couldn't do it as he didn't own the vehicle and would reimburse me when he called to view. Yeah right. Told him I didn't own the car and that I therefore couldn't buy the report either just as he couldn't. Kept pushing for me to buy and I just kept it civil and apologised for wasting his time even though he contacted me. You'd think that he worked for the company that he was insistent I buy the report from at £40 a pop.
