Missed call 3 days on a row. Then when I answered asked if I wanted to renew my rac membership I said yes but I wanted monthly instead of annually. I confirmed all my details but then he asked my bank details I said you already have them. I then said im busy at the moment I'll phone you back another time. I'm not giving bank details to someone who phoned me!

RAC hoping I'd renew my cover that was about to expire. Asked personal questions ie full name, address and dob. When I refused, young lady was polite and said "not to worry" said she needed the details to close account for marketing purposes. No pressure selling!

Guy said was rac but to cancel my account wanted me to speak my full name after telling me calls are recorded hence i refused then said my non existent rac account would remain open no chance i trust speaking any name etc over a telephone nowadays usually only scammers ask for this do not trust

Data mining information. Posed as RAC renewals, his dates were all wrong, said no, asked for lots of data to 'close account'. Was unwilling to share and so hung up.

Cancelled my direct debit to the RAC as l could not get through on the phone and auto renewal had been locked on the app. Received a call on this number and the Rac person on the phone wanted me to confirm my name address date of birth and email address when l refused he said he needed the details to close the account ? He phoned me.

Lady called saying she was from RAC Breakdown cover & could offer cover for any company vehicles. We don't have any so I let he know and ended the call.

RAC calling to renew breakdown cover - annoying but safe!

10-11-2025 caller said he was RAC and my subscription was due soon. He gave me a breakdown of my cover and offered me a better deal than the quote then he told me the last 4 digits on my bank card and asked if I still used the same card. I said I have a new card and he asked for the number so I said i'll have to think about it and I hung up.

RAC as I didn't renew membership, told them with Green Flag as better deal to be had, needless to say boy wasn't happy and wouldn't take no for an answer, his command of the English language was about non existent.

Rang to say card had expired, and I cannot renew my RAC policy on line, I told him repeatedly this was not going to happen and if I cant renew on line then I am not renewing at all, he hung up!

Called identified himself as being from RAC breakdown renewals cover. Checked with RAC with details of the call, as the caller knew a lot of personal information. Advised this call did not originate from the RAC. Likely Financial Fraud.
