As far as I am concerned... the best way to treat any call is with great caution. And if you have never heard of the name of the company or organisation, just hang up.. block the number.

Caller pretended to be calling about housing issues if reported to the council or housing association. Told them they were a scammer and asked for the name of their organisation. Dead air in response. Blocked now.

A man with a strange accent calling himself Andrew Gordon-Brown called pressuring me to commit a direct debit charity contribution to Methodist churches in Africa. I asked him how he got my number and he hung up with some rude-sounding words.

Kevin claimed to be from housing support about the issues i had reported.... no such report issued by myself. When explained and asked who he was hoping to speak to , call ended. Long delay between responses.

Scammers know most people in Britain don't bother reporting these attempts to the proper systems from the previous government. Those systems are meant to record investigate and handle them but if nobody reports nothing changes. It's why these calls keep coming. Blocked this one too.

Answered thinking it might be from doctor or NHS. But they started talking about housing issues reported which I never did. Clearly a scam attempt. Blocked now.
