A man asked if I wanted to update my sim. Sounded like call centre background. Felt off.

Had a call from this number, saying they were from 3. Initially a man with a strong Indian accent telling me that 3 and Vodafone have merged and they are upgrading me to 5g free of charge, all my details would stay the same and no additional charge etc, then started on about a delivery. When I said I didn't understand what he was on about with a delivery, he put me through to someone called "Mike" with almost no accent. He repeated the same info and then said he needed to send me a code by text for verification, the text came through from 3 saying "Scammers may take control of your account using this code. Do NOT share this code with anyone who calls you. You can only use this code on live chat. We'll never call you to ask for your passcode", told him I was busy and hung up. Presume they are on live chat trying to do an account recovery and getting the verification code while they are on live chat.

Claimed to be from the Three network. I blocked the number as it did not seem legitimate.

From 3 mobile, asked for a code that would be sent to my phone. Immediately hung up.

A man with a strong foreign accent, claimed to be calling from Three Mobile. He told me that my sim card will stop working in 2 days, insisting that i order a new 5G replacement sim, for free. Told him I wasn't interested.
