This was a genuine Barclays Fraud number in my case. They had legitimate records of my real transactions, didn't ask me to disclose any information other than the last 3 digits of my phone number (that they had already called earlier). There were a number of fraudulent transactions, none of which had been approved. They cancelled my card immediately and sent a new one in the post. Appears to be genuine

Astonishingly, it can be a genuine call from Barclays asking for personal info. I was called from this number and they asked me to "complete security" by providing various bits of personal info. I pointed out that they had called me and I didn't have a clue who they were so I wouldn't provide this info. I then called Barclays via their app and they confirmed it was a genuine call as their colleague had left a note saying that they'd tried to call me. And they wonder why people give out their info to scam callers...

Guys, if this number was a scam number then it would have been shut down after few days. Looking at the comments it's active since 9 months. I doubt a bank scam number would be allowed to scam for so long. But in case, never give your password, answers to your security questions. Use official Barclays app or go to your local branch.

Called and I heard a message saying it was Barclays, then a man announced he was from Barclays fraud. I hung up as knew they would not be for real. Barclays confirmed it wasn't them.

100% FAKE!!!! I missed the call but I immediately called Barclays from within the app and he confirmed that I have had no fraud notifications - they also confirmed that if you did get a call from the Barclays fraud team it would likely come from an 0333 number NOT 020

Asked me to confirm details, when I asked how could I verify if they were from Barclays, the person got confused and advised they did not understand what I was talking about. BEWARE, THEY ARE NOT BARCLAYS (and there are scammers posting saying they are here...). Always check: 1. IF the phone number is listed on Barclays website 2. Ask for an email to confirm 3. Do not use SMS confirmation if does not say BARCLAYS on the number sent. 4. Ultimate test: give all information incorrectly and check if the security check fails or passes (it will pass if they are scammers)

Definately from Barclays. cancelled an in-person appointment I had with them through the call, and I got the confirmation email of the cancellation. Also she had access to bank my statements going back from 2018, so definitely legit ✌🏻

Called, said from Barclaycard and wanted my security details. Kept calling me "Mr <firstname>" rather than my name. I hung up but a call to Barclaycard revealed they had never called me. Clearly a scammer faking the number.

Texted and rang me saying they were calling about my Barclaycard commercial ending in **** (last 4 digits) and these digits were WRONG not the last 4 on my card and my card isn't a commercial card. Left a message on both my home number and one of my mobile numbers. Said that they were from Barclaycard and I was to phone them back re fraud on my account. I phoned the Barclaycard number on the back of my Barclaycard and they confirmed that they had not phoned me.

This is a genuine phoneline for the Barclays Fraud Team. They wanted to check that an attempted purchase was genuine. However if in doubt you can always ring the number printed on the back of your credit card and this will take you through to the customer service team.

I received a voicemail from this number asking me to call an 0800 number back. I was suspicious so I checked out both telephone numbers which led me to this site. I then called Barclays Bank via my Mobile phone App. It turned out to be a genuine query from the bank's Fraud team about a transaction I had made earlier in the day. The block on it was then released.

Caller said they are from barclays and will send me a text message so that they can verify me. Said they are trying to resolve the IT outage and are willing to make a compensation to me. I denied and disagreed for them to send me a message luckily ! Beware of this call. Barclays won't call . If you get a call from this number, ask them for App Id and ask them to send a security message via Barclays APP.

Told me he’s from Barclays and my card has been compromised my Barclay card. I told him I will phone my bank by myself but I got a text from Barclays to say that my debit card has been blocked so I don’t know what is what. I said I don’t need the debit card tonight. I will phone the bank tomorrow.

Again they said it was Barclays and offered a number to ring but I declined. She said I could ring any number that was on a letter from the bank. She asked to go through security and I refused. She said it was a banking issue so I said send me an email saying what it was and she said she couldn't so I finished the call.

This may be dangerous, I'm not sure. Only ever had 1 call as far as I'm aware. Caller claimed to be from Barclays, they left a message asking me to call a number "and their team would support me". I didn't call back, unfortunately I deleted the message that they left before noting the number that they asked me to call so I'm not sure if that was the same number from which they called me.
