same as everyone, claimed to be calling for meter replacement. had some minor details about my business. Then eventually broke character and started swearing.

Called claiming to be from electrical meter company but didn't give the name of their company when asked, or didn't know who our electricity supplier was either. Just said your meter installation company ! - wanting to confirm a new meter installation date that we have had NO communication or contact regarding prior to their call confirming the supposed date. As we are a business the receptionist passed this onto the Manager who called the number given back for more info and some clarity - they answered said just hello (no company name given) I explained that you have just called me regarding an installation date for changing a meter - caller hung up saying nothing more after hello, further attempted to call the number back and no one now picks up - simply suggest that you block this number, very noisy call centre of some sort in the background and possibly not in the UK. If genuine company they will contact the address holder by more professional means.

Scammers! Beware. I had a call suggesting it was from EOn Next. They offered me a better rate for electricity. I checked with EOn Next and was advised that the call was not from them.

First said they were from British Gas, when we told him we don't use gas, they then said it was for our electricity.. but we're a rented office in a commercial building and everything gets handled by the letting company
