SCAMMERS CLAIMING TO BE FROM DIFFERENT ENERGY SUPPLIERS. CALLER HAD AN INDIAN ACCENT AND CHANGED STORIES DEPENDING ON QUESTIONS.

Claimed to be from Scottish Power and wanted me to confirm meter number and account number. Very pushy, keeps calling from different numbers every time we block their calls, but it's always the same indian guy.

Posing as electricity company stating rep put in incorrect meter reading identification. Wanted me to confirm the correct details. Told him that I have googled his number and shows as possible spam. Advised I would ring supplier directly - surprise, surprise, he hung up!

These cons use bill scare to grab access or push fake switches that hike costs long term so always verify direct with your real provider before sharing any details to avoid the trap.
