Claimed they were calling from Sky! Wanted me to confirm my sky email/details to offer me discounts. Told them they’re a scammer if your from sky you’d know my email address! Called me of 6 different numbers in 1 day. Blocked them all

Pretending to be British Gas wanting to speak to accounts department, stating there was meter reading issues and tried to get our company's account number which we refused and put the phone down, to which i suggest any who receives a call from them does the same.

Got a call today said they were from EON they had some information but not all. I then got passed to a supervisor who asked more questions, then i asked should you not know that information he got very defensive. both people who i spoke to were Indian i think and sounded like a call centre.

SCAMMERS!!! A man from this number has now called me 4 times over the past 2 days. He seems to be very persistent and telling me he's calling from British Gas and that he needs my meter supply number. I have contacted British Gas themselves and they have assured me this is not a number someone from their team would call off.

Had a call from this number today, claimed to be from British Gas and problem with the meter number. He had all the details on my bill but not Company name which I foolishly gave him but don't see how that will help him.

Indian woman pretending to be from British Gas. Hang up immediately and don't talk to these scumbags.

Rang this morning claiming to be from the meter reading department from British Gas and that there was an error in their systems so they needed me to check our meter number - they could not give me our British Gas account number so I refused to give information to them and cut the call off.

Contacted my business several times today claiming to be my energy company. Asking for account references as our bills are high. When I asked them to confirm the reference number to me, they could not and wanted me to provide - I was then passed over to a "supervisor" who proceeded to say I needed to get them the number or they would have to make an appointment to call back. Scam.

Called us yesterday and today pretending to be from meter reading and asking to speak to the person responsible. Scam Avoid... Call Centre sounded like in India using a UK number. AVOID!!!!

Caller pretending to be from EDF claimed he cannot generate our invoice - gave him short shrift and told him we would call EDF ourselves and find out if there is a problem and shut him down. Have had calls like this from different numbers pretending to be EDF.

claimed to be from smartest energy, saying there has been a cross over on my meter readings and i will receive a very high bill. They confirmed the meter number, business name etc, when i said i will call smartest myself they didnt like it, so i hung up and blocked the number

Called pretending to be from Scottish Power, asking for our meter reading - then gave a fake account number when i requested further information. They then hung up when i asked for their phone number

Same caller phones at least once a week claiming to be from British Gas, when you ask them to provide proof they are from British Gas, they can't provide it. This time claimed that there was an error in the system and that our invoices would be invalid and incorrect.

Calling supposedly from British Gas asking to check personal information. Using the company email address to send a request to reset password and asking the temporary password. Do not fall for this

We receive calls from this number on a weekly basis. It is always the same individual claiming to represent British Gas. However, they provide only very limited details and repeatedly request direct contact information. On this occasion, they stated: “You have a very high meter reading on your gas.” When I asked for further clarification, they were unable to provide any additional information. Each time, we explain that we cannot share such details over the phone and advise them to use our generic email address. They insist they do not have access to email. I informed them that their number has been reported as suspicious and potentially fraudulent, and that I will contact British Gas directly to verify.
