Was called to say that they were in the area saying that we could get 50% off on the installation of new windows. Informed them that they were calling a number registered with the telephone preference service, and whe I asked for the company name they hung uo immediately. Definately an AI genenerated call as there was a time lage between me speaking and their response.

Alerted me to structural issues in the house, demanded immediate action with money transfer. I was at home when the phone rang and this number came up. The person on the other end had a script they were reading from, all about how my service was in jeopardy unless I acted fast. They kept insisting that it was urgent and that failing to provide the info would lead to disconnection or worse. It was all very convincing at first but then I realized it was just another trick to get hold of sensitive data. Better to be safe and report these kinds of calls.
