The person said that she was calling from a law firm called Elmwood of Manchester regarding a claim for mis sold car finance. She asked to speak to James Smith and said that we’re due a payment. I advised her that my husband very sadly died in July. We have never made a claim of any kind regarding this subject. She was very pushy and at one point extremely rude. Allegedly someone is going to phone me tomorrow to check that I’m who I said I was so that they can pay me the compensation. I didn’t give any information as to what my name etc is. No doubt if they do phone me back they’ll be wanting bank details. They’ll have a long wait, I don’t give anyone any information regarding bank accounts etc.
