Number has called me twice in the past week. The call starts with a recording of a woman who says "Hi, my name is Jo" and then proceeds to tell me that the call is concerning a government initiative and energy efficiency and that 'they' have a database which shows that I probably have dangerous materials insulating my loft. 'Jo' is very obviously a recording. I kept the call going as long as possible, just to delay them contacting their next victim, and they obviously have a way of selecting the most appropriate recorded response to anything you reply, unless you say something challenging (I asked who are 'they' who have the database), in which case they simply cut the call and ring back a few days later. Today I managed to keep them on the line a bit longer and they asked for a postcode so that they could send some reps round to survey the loft. Please be careful - don't provide any details to these scammers!

Block this number if you possibly can. A complete waste of time answering the call. A man called Chris who claims to be an Energy Adviser and currently in my area, is most interested as to how I am. Why would I be interested in talking to someone I don’t know, I haven’t asked to speak with and lies about the distance he is from me. A complete scam. Avoid.

Thomas said he was my area energy advisor. Strange! did 1471. Even stranger! I apparently live in the Manchester area. News to me as I've lived in Berkshire since 1970. Told him politely to go away. Or words to that effect.

As others say. Claims to be from an energy supplier. Asking questions about insulation. Cold calling - the number registers as an incorrect number. Invasion of privacy.

Regularly phone at the same time claiming to be from an energy company. Ask them to take us of their list. Clearly they haven't.
