Scottish Power up to their old tricks, trying to push a 'smart' meter on me by making multiple calls after I've repeatedly told them to stop.

Up to 5 calls a day trying to get me to have a smart meter . Calling every day , I have repeatedly told them I do not want a smart meter and have asked them if there is a precedent in law that says I have to have a smart meter and was told no . Really getting on my nerves now !!

It IS Scottish Power but it's kids who are script reading. I will NOT get a smart meter until they can prove they are trustworthy. They are not currently.

I don’t believe they are Scottish power asking me to book in for smart meter I already have an app booked when I rang about moving Strange that there ringing from Scotland scottish accent but whenever I’ve spoke to someone at Scottish power before 9 times out of 10 there no Scottish This is deffo a scam When I said I have an app he was like oh okay we need to re schedule it for you Surely they’ve have this information block this number ignore it

Received Scottish Power smart-meter call, mentioned i have security and privacy concerns plus engineer failed installations resulting in massive wrong costs due to being installed correctly - they have taken me off their list for these calls in future.

I have had many calls from 0141 310 4691 Scottish Power . Wanting me to take a smart meter . I have told them , each time they call me , "I don't want a smart meter and they are not that smart anyway in my opinion !" Same as the callers !!

Scottish Power harassing us again and again. Told them we dont want a smart meter under any circumstances!

4 times daily mon-Fri, happened for ten days. From other comments, likley Scottish power. I don't want a smart meter, but previously they said no choice cos old prepayment meter & payment methods would cease existence. Please does anyone know my rights in not wanting one? I live in a coucil property, use pre payment. But same is happening to gran who owns her house and pays bill direct debit. Please any advice for the 2 different situations. Both of us have differing reasons but question is, what do they accept? Do we have a choice In the long term? Any advice sppreciated. My fake name is Tammy. Lol 😁 thanx xx

Ringing 4 5 times a day on landline,I am disabled and deaf no messages left on answer machine it's now blocked,if it is Scottish Power I have told them many times I don't want smart meter and I pay my bill in full every quarter,its harassment.block this number.

this number has been harrasing me for days,told them i dont want a smart meter ,ive blocked the number on mobile,now theyve started on the house phone, thank you

5 times of ringing this afternoon and using different numbers to try and make me pick up. Thank goodness my phone company pre-warn me of the scam calls. They have spoken to me before and want all my details which i am not prepared to give over the phone and have asked for them to put it in writing. They say they are a non paper company. Very harrassing as they have phoned regularly again and again for months.

I’ve had six calls this afternoon from this number to my mobile phone, tried to answer it once but couldn’t understand what they were saying and hung up! Tried to ring from my landline to no avail. Having seen previous comments I gather it’s Scottish Power probably trying to persuade me to get a smart metre – which I do not want under any circumstances.

I also received a missed call from this number this morning. Starnge for a proffesional firm to call and not leaving a message. When i called it back, the recording answering, differs from professional firms, and do not disclose which firm it is. Hence, my dangerous rating. Something fishy!

Caller said she was from Scottish Power and tried to persuade me to accept a Smart Meter. I don't want one and pointed out I have a legal right to an old style meter. I tried to end the call but she then asked to 'take me through security' , i.e. check my personal details, so she could log that I did not want future calls re smart meters. It seemed strange to want those details at that stage of the call, and unlikely that she could not record I don't want a smart meter unless I let her check all my identifying details. How after all had she been able to ring hung me...Scottish Power already HAVE my details! She also had a heavily foreign accent (African?). I ended the call.
