Received a call at 09.42 this morning purporting to be from a company (didn’t catch the name but it had 3 initials) telling me that I was owed £268 - not the exact amount but the caller was heavily accented and there was a lot of background noise - for a mortgage compensation repayment! I said terrific just send me a cheque upon which he informed me that it would be done via bank transfer! I then said did he expect me to give him my bank details and he said no he didn’t need my passwords etc bur when I enquired as to how he proposed to transfer this money the line went dead! Surprise, surprise. Absolute chancers!

Spoke so fast I could not understand them.
I asked for the to speak slower as it was not a race, they hung up.

They claimed they were from Tesco mobile. They said I was selected for a 50% discount. When I said I don't have a Tesco mobile, they disconnected. The caller had a foreign accent.

Insulation fraud from bogus advisor. Promised bill drops but looped the sell oddly.
