"David from Windows and Doors called "- obvious scammer. Put telephone down.

Has phone several times. Each time introduced himself as "David from Windows and Doors". Has been told twice to 'eff off'. on 6/01/26 at just after 9 a.m. he phoned again. I asked if he had heard of "The Telephone Preference Scheme.". His reply was "Never mind about that, how are you today?" I repeated the question and his reply was that they are "doing a promotion." ANY Cold Caller who ignores 'The Telephone Preference Scheme' is very clearly (1) A Fraudulent Scammer, and (2) Stupid - If people have elected to NOT have cold calls, why annoy them by phoning? If you are NOT registered on the 'Telephone Preference Scheme', look it up and register you phone number(s). After that, any Cold Call you receive is a Fraudulent Scam! I responded to this scammer with some verbal abuse and he promptly disconnected the call. The answer to 'Cold Calling' is simple - NEVER, EVER respond to ANY offers. If EVERYBODY, yes EVERYBODY ignored Cold Calling, it would become no longer viable.

First few seconds fairly convincing, but soon reveal AI….

Asked caller how they had got my number. They claimed it had been bought from licensed data seller ! I hung up.

Claiming to be from a company offering 50% off windows in our area, either Steve or Dave keeps calling. Suspect this to be ai or initially a recording as it’s not always possible to have a 2 way conversation. Anyway obviously a phishing scam at best.
