Foreign man advised me he was calling from HMRC and I had a penalty, had I lost my purse could somebody be using my identity. I asked him for his name and contact details and I would call him back to confirm who he said he was as he was asking me to open my browser on the computer and phone. He hung up and I have blocked the call.

I received a call 30 minutes ago with a recorded message saying from HMRC, knew straight away it was a scam HMRC don't call the general public if they need to contact people they write to them.
Just hang up and report and block number.
