I answered but stayed quiet waiting for the caller to introduce themselves. After a few seconds with no proper response, the line went dead. Very suspicious behaviour and likely a scam check to see if the number is active.

Said they were from Vodafone offering a large discount but did not even know my name. Clearly a cold sales call.

Scam call claiming to be from O2 offering to halve my bill. They try to get you to say yes so they can record your voice. Very persistent and clearly fraudulent.
