On the call they offered an alternative to pay as you go. The operative had an Indian accent. They knew some of my details already and after I made a new airtime plan order with them they emailed me the new contract whilst we were on the call. But then afterwards I saw that the phone number was suspected spam, so I phoned O2 on their 202 number. At first they said that O2 do not cold call customers and so it must be a scam. But then they checked and they did actually have a record of the new airtime plan order on their computer system including the order number I was given over the phone. They also then looked up the phone number that called me and they were able to verify that it was legitimately from O2. So it seems that O2 do actually cold call people after all even if O2 customer service thought they don't.

Claiming that they are from O2 marketing, they introduced plans limited for today and asked me to provide a lot of personal details including address, date of birth, etc.. After that, they asked my bank account details including the CVC number. I requested to do this online but get refused. This just does not feel right.

Apparently a free call alert from O2. Was offering plans as an alternative to O2's pay as you go SIM. Strong Indian accent and hard to understand. I requested to be sent links so that I could read what was being offered and they refused. Why on earth would they refuse if genuine?

Didn’t hear the phone ring, but got a missed call. Unknown number. Blocked.
