Phone call saying they were Harris from housing repairs, when i asked their reason for their call, they stated i had asked for housing repairs. I asked who mad the report, and what's the address attached to the supposed report. He then said he may have the wrong number.

Presenting themselves as the compliance team for all housing repairs across UK Housing Authorities and Councils in the UK. Checking on the complaint I had made. I had made no such complaint and I'm a private home owner. No such thing. Scam - avoid

Picked up this morning even though I usually ignore unknowns. There was a really long pause like 8 seconds or more before anything happened so I hung up. Annoying stuff.

Caller didn't use my name at all. When I asked who he was he mumbled unclearly. Said it was about some house issue but hung up when pressed.

Very suspicious he claimed to be a housing officer because I reported house problems. I live in a flat and never reported anything. He hung up fast when challenged.

This is an old housing disrepair fraud scheme. Avoid talking to random cold callers and report any suspicious ones to the police or Ofcom right away.

The caller mentioned home repairs that I supposedly reported to the council. When I asked for more details about who I reported to, they said they handle things for everyone with council issues. This feels like a trick to get information.
