A smart-looking web page with this number offers to help us compare broadband/phone deals. Prompt, polite, patient operator thoroughly researches the swap from old supplier to new, This includes postcode, address, requirements. Now I ask them to transfer it for me. Phone numbers they have. OK. Email. OK. Correct name and d.o.b. OK. Now, fake but plausible Direct Debit statement re: consumer protection and expected time between initiating contract and its implementation. Next: he asks for bank account numbers, No, I prefer not to give them, saying the new company can email me using the details already given, then I'll personally set up payment for my new contract with my bank. Twice the operator objects: "But you need not worry about any security information when giving these bank account details, Mrs -----, because you are not giving us your *card* number." Sorry, I tell him, he can't persuade me. Then I hang up. I'll write again If there is any fall out after this experience.

Not answered any calls from this. They keep calling just altering the last 4 numbers. Luckily my phone flags it as SCAM. I was checking best broadband deals and stupidly put in my phone number so now that's what I am getting.

I give them my sort and account no. They also try to persuade me to set up direct debit. It start with l want to change to fiber wifi. The other side is busy and will call me later.

trying to sign me up to Talk Talk broadband sounded very knowledgeable then when I spoke re BT changed to this was best for me - I needed to leave to get to a meeting before I shared details but he is ringing back tomorrow- is this a scam?

Caller try to get my bank details over phone broadband and landline details iwas looking on internet soon has I put in my landline number caller was ringing me .I don't give bank details over phone.caller wanted me set up direct debit
