This number called as my 3 Mobile Network provider and said my current sim card will be cut off in the next 24-48hrs.

This number claiming to be Three Mobile Network saying my current sim card will be cut off in the next 24-48hrs due to some technical issues customers had reported to Three. I work for the Communication Ombudsman and know Three would not do this so I played along but when they started asking for personal details, I said I will call Three to check and the scum bag on the end of line got offended and said he will cancel my phone contract and hung up.
