Echoing prior reports caller from British Gas per them but we dont use em said they control the grid anyway so it applies broadly I cut it short and blacklisted the number These persistent energy pitches often mask attempts to upsell dubious plans or extract billing details leaving people vulnerable to overcharges

Like others mentioned pretended to be British Gas I said not with them they claimed ownership of supply lines so relevant to all Hung up quick blocked it too these calls usually lead to high pressure sales or data fishing which is risky for privacy

Caller said they were from British Gas I explained we arent customers they insisted because British Gas handles the local network supply it affects all homes Seemed off so I disconnected and blocked to prevent more calls This kind of persistence often points to unwanted sales tactics trying to push unnecessary services or gather info

The caller claimed to be calling from British Gas regarding some service I informed them that we are not customers of British Gas but the person on the line explained that British Gas owns the distribution network that supplies the area so it applies to everyone It sounded suspicious so I hung up and blocked the number to avoid any further hassle
