In the light of previous comments on here I would describe the call as dangerous. Having read the comments after ignoring the first call I was prepared. The caller, who knew my surname, claimed to be calling about my successful claim for car finance compensation. I said this was a mistake as I’d never had finance. Very polite apology was followed about whether I’d had a diesel vehicle. At my negative reply the questions dried up.

Someonw pretending to be EE - False scammer trying to get infomation, DO NOT GIVE ANYTHING

This number rang and it was someone pretending to handle loft insulation claims, sounding like from an Indian call center. They asked if I'd had any issues with damp or energy bills, but I haven't inquired about anything. Hung up immediately, reported to my provider, and now it's blocked. Wish there was a better way to stop these persistent fraudsters.
