Got called up claiming from energy company, told them to stop trying to steal proples money just like our politicians are doing constantly

Called me 2 days in a row claiming to be from our Energy company and that there had been a software malfunction on their customer database and incorrect details pulling through onto customer accounts was causing incorrect billing. They had both the MPR and S numbers, as well as the company name/address and even described the bill in detail. I gave them no new information. What raised my suspicion was the same call a day later and when I said I had already spoken to them the day before they tried to fob me off by saying it must have been a different department. They did want to know our contract renewal date though! I asked them what they had which differed from what I had. I then called my energy provider who confirmed that this was a scam call. And that they had had notification from another customer that they had been called saying they were due a refund so please could they have their bank details! Call usually starts with one person then passes you on to their 'Team Leader'.

Called from this number although disconnected a previous call (from a different number) as stating from our energy provider but we refused to play ball with them. Absolute scam....hung up.

These clowns have called 3 times today to business number claiming to be our energy provider. Rude, and harrassing, so typically I told them to FO.

Said it was a line manager from EON next, we have called EON who have confirmed this isn't an outbound number for them and likely a third party. If you ask them for the passcode number to your account to ensure it is eon they will hang up

They said they were from british gas and wanted to check certain information on my last bill but were unable to first provide me with any information and or data that was relevant to my account. Complete scam! Do not trust callers from this number. Also note that your utility supplier would never call you and request such information.

Called us this morning claiming to be with SSE checked with our broker who said it was not legitimate. They had our gas meter number so I assumed legit but it seems like he was angling to know our contract renewal date.

Always saying they are from an energy provider who we are no longer with to try and obtain all your details and switch you to their rates. I'm getting sick of them, get a proper job.

Scammers claiming to be from an energy company, couldn't even get the company right! Same guy who called yesterday but on a completely different number. Calls back constantly when hung up on.
