Asked if I'm the homeowner and wanting to sell me low-cost solar panels. Said I'm registered with the Telephone Preference service, she soon hung up. Reported the call to the Information Commissioner's Office.

I have about three calls a day on my landline phone, all of them intended scams. I’v learned not to answer the calls, and checks on the areas from which the calls came confirm there were cheats on the line. Along with a number of friends and relatives, I’m now relying on my mobile.
