My elderly neighbour got scammed with this in the last few days. She received a text saying that "a direct debit of £500 had been set up with Sky TV, if this wasn't her to ring the number". She did unfortunately ring the number and got scammed, luckily she immediately called her bank afterwards as realised it was a scam.

Had a missed call amd a text from this number stating that ikea had been paid 400 pounds fromy account

I received a test stating a purchase had been made in Sainsbury’s for £278 if this hadn’t been me I was to phone 01330 492669! A scam as another I saw that another person had asked on line if this was a legitimate bank phone number stating his bank name which was not the same as mine!
Be warned.

Got a Msg to call this number, from a mobile number, to confirm a large purchase. That sort of thing goes via the banks app = scam. Rang the bank anyway, but directly on the correct number.
