Picked up, they said goodbye instantly and hung up. Pointless call.

An American voice claimed he was from Vodaphone and rang back at my request. He said I was such a good customer , he was offering me a 40% discount on my internet bill. He started asking me how much my last bill was and then my name. At that point I suspected a scam, told him so and rang off. I think this was an attempted con.
