Indian man telephoned me, sounded very unprofessional, was laughing with someone in the background and said he was from booking co, then continued to laugh and repeat my name like he was making fun of my name. I put the phone down and blocked the number and searched who it was on here.

Phoned telling me that my electricity rates had increased due to rate increases in January which they hadn’t as I am on a fixed rate deal. Looked up the number and found it here so I told them that our rates are just fine and hung up

Claimed to be from GO Compare. Wanted to move my energy to Scottish Power so I patiently let him stream out his patter. When I started to question figures and paybacks, he became rude and ended call abruptly. Behaviours of call have "SCAM" written all over them. Beware!!!

Someone trying to put on a overly well spoken voice but a lot of shouting in the background. Guy knew my name and address, said he was from Go Compare. I hung up then looked up the number and here I am.

Go compare scam - tried to switch me to Scottish power. When I said I didn't want to be skirted around it and told me it was a 'no brainier'.
Sadly knew my name and address, blocked them since.

I also got this call from a guy claiming to be from Gocompare and claiming i could be eligible for half price on my energy during weekends from Scottish power. Had my former address and postcode and as I had moved asked me to confirm new address and postcode but for someone who said he lived in Manchester he surprisingly seemed to know the area I live and the location of my home and then transferred me abruptly to someone from Scottish power which seemed like they were already waiting on the line and it seemed suspicious as to how direct that transfer was so I hung up immediately the person from Scottish power started speaking

Claimed to be from Go Compare, told me my gas and electricity bill would be increasing in January, said they had already sent me an email (they had not), became pushy when I said I was happy with my current deal. I hung up.

Said they were from Gocompare, eventually transferred me to Scottish power?. Told them I was busy they said they would call back later. They did call back but as the number was the same as the original call supposedly from Go compare I did not answer. Probably some sort of scam so have blocked the number.

Call was from a Birmingham number. They knew my name and address. Started asking who is my energy provider , do I have a smart reader , do I rent or own my property. When I asked who they were (as it was suspicious) and what service they provide, because they are not my energy provider, then they said good bye and hung up . Felt a scam ...

Claimed to be from Gocompare and that he could see my energy usage as they were a supplier, when questioned about what Gocompare supply he gaslighted me about what he had said. I hung up.

Call from guy with Indian accent claiming to be from Go-Compare, knew details of current energy provider, home address and phone number. I played along with script with claim that they could reduce my monthly g&e bills from £320 to £250 by signing up with Scottish Power since they own the delivery infrastructure. Said everything would be clarified in email so I could check. He then brought in somebody supposedly from Scottish Power (had Scottish accent) and the first thing the guys said is that I'd need to sign up first and then I would get an email. I smelt a rat and challenged this, with the Indian accent guy trying to convince me otherwise before I politely ended the call. He's tried calling back since. I suspect that if it had played out I would have been sharing bank details as I "signed up" !!!

Alert hit as junk so i ignored the incoming.

Caller said they were from Go Compare, knew my details, and tried to switch me to Scottish Power. Sounded dodgy and scripted.

This number called me about cost of electricity, but she asked if I lived in Basildon and gave an address. I told her that she had a wrong number. She had an Indian accent. Obviously a scam from Birmingham

My phone reported it as potential scam so i declined the call, then i recieved a text telling me that it was a free call from O2 though im not an account holder

I am just checking if this is a scam or not. The call was about Scottish power. I would welcome feedback if I should respond to these calls.
