Features: Quiet Hours

Put Aside Some Quiet Time for Yourself

The world is so fast paced and we’re just all so contactable these days! It can be hard to switch off from the noise at times, so Phonely has created the quiet hours feature to make it a little bit easier.

No ringing, no stress

The pressure to answer a ringing phone is immense. It’s not just to satisfy the curiosity of who is calling (should your digital phone not have caller ID) but to stop the panic the shrill repetitive noise creates!

When setting your phone to quiet hours, you avoid the need to pick up without frustrating your callers with an engaged tone.

Watch your regular shows in peace

If you sit down at a certain time each day or week to watch TV, you can set your quiet hours in advance and on repeat.

Quiet Hours lets you enjoy your favorite shows without interruptions, ensuring that your landline stays silent during your regular TV time. By scheduling it in advance, you won't have to worry about remembering to silence your phone, and you can fully relax, knowing that your peace won't be disturbed.

Have the evenings to yourself

If you like peace and quiet after a certain time and definitely don't want your phone to be ringing while you sleep, you can ensure you're not disturbed by using quiet hours.

With Quiet Hours enabled, your landline won't disrupt your rest, allowing you to sleep soundly through the night. Whether you're taking a nap or enjoying some downtime, you can trust that your phone will stay silent during the hours you choose, while optionally allowing people in your Phonely Contact Book to come through.

Work from home without distractions

People forget that when you work from home, you are actually working and don’t have time to deal with calls on your landline. If you worked in the office, you couldn’t answer (and wouldn’t know), so quiet hours replicates that for you.

Being in the moment

If you engage in hobbies at home or have a friend or loved one over for a catch-up, a ringing phone can ruin your enjoyment. Setting up quiet hours during these times can make sure you’re always present and in the moment.

How do I set quiet hours?

It's super easy to do. Just log into your Phonely account and then Settings > Features Settings, click on the quiet hours tab. There you will be able to set up when you want your quiet hours and how often. You can even exclude your Phonely contacts from your quiet hours so you are contactable should there be an emergency for example.
